Edworking’s new interface makes it easy to synchronise your Google Calendar with your workspace so you can stay on top of tasks and events. This guide walks you through connecting your Google account, managing synchronisation settings and viewing your calendar from within Edworking.
Overview
The calendar panel in Edworking provides a quick glance at your tasks and upcoming events. By integrating Google Calendar you can see all of your external events alongside tasks and deadlines managed in Edworking. The integration works both ways – deadlines from your tasks can appear in Google Calendar and meetings or events from Google will be visible inside Edworking’s calendar panel.
The new interface places the calendar in a collapsible side panel at the top‑right of the workspace. A three‑dot menu on the panel offers options to create tasks, create events or synchronise your calendar, making it quick to set up the integration.
Step 1 – Open the Calendar panel
In the top‑right corner of the workspace you’ll see a small calendar icon. Click this icon to open the Calendar panel
.
The panel displays a miniature monthly calendar. Days with task deadlines are highlighted with coloured dots, and you can quickly jump to create a new task or event using the buttons at the bottom.
Step 2 – Start synchronising your calendar
On the calendar panel, click the three‑dot button to open the menu and select Sync Calendar.
A Calendar Synchronisation modal appears
This modal has two tabs – Google Calendar and Edworking Features. In the Google Calendar tab you will see any previously connected Google accounts and a Sync Account button.
Click Sync Account to link a Google account. A Google authorisation window will open asking you to choose the account you wish to sync and grant Edworking permission to access your calendars. After authorising, return to Edworking; your Google account will now appear in the Google Accounts list.
Select the calendars you want to sync (for example your primary calendar, birthdays or project calendars). You can repeat this process to add multiple calendars. Switch to the Edworking Features tab to enable deadlines for your Edworking tasks to appear in Google Calendar
Once your choices are made, click Save or Sync (depending on your version) to complete the connection.
Step 3 – Adjust synchronisation settings
Once your Google account is connected you can customise how information flows between Edworking and Google Calendar:
Include task deadlines – enable this option to add due dates from your Edworking tasks into Google Calendar as events. This keeps external calendars up‑to‑date with your work plan.
Show events from Google Calendar – choose which of your Google calendars should appear in Edworking’s calendar panel. This is useful if you only want to see work‑related events inside Edworking.
Toggle birthday and holiday reminders – you can include or exclude birthdays and public holiday calendars to reduce noise.
These settings can be adjusted at any time by opening the Calendar panel, clicking the three‑dot menu and selecting Sync Calendar again.
Step 4 – View your calendar in Edworking
After saving your settings, your Google Calendar events and Edworking deadlines will appear together in the calendar panel.
Clicking on a day with events shows a list of tasks and calendar events below the mini calendar.
To see more information or edit an event, click the event name. Tasks open directly in Edworking, while Google events open in a new tab or popup.
You can quickly add new events or tasks using the New Event or New Task buttons at the bottom of the panel.
Conclusion
The new Edworking platform streamlines calendar management by placing a convenient calendar panel in the top‑right corner of your workspace. By syncing your Google Calendar you can keep all of your meetings and task deadlines in one place, eliminating the need to switch between apps. Use the Sync Calendar option in the calendar panel to connect your Google account and customise which events and tasks appear, and enjoy a single, unified view of your schedule.
